Extension Developer Terms & Conditions – SrcNexus

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the publishing and distribution of extensions on the SrcNexus Extension Store. By publishing an extension, you ("Developer") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must have a valid SrcNexus account to publish extensions. You represent that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. Extension Content

You are solely responsible for the content, functionality, and behavior of your extension. Your extension must not:

• Contain malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
• Collect, transmit, or store user data without the user's knowledge and consent.
• Access user files, terminal, or device resources beyond what is declared in the extension's permissions.
• Perform cryptocurrency mining, distributed attacks, or any activity that harms users or their devices.
• Contain or distribute illegal, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Impersonate another developer, app, or brand.
• Interfere with the SrcNexus app, its services, or other extensions.

3. Permissions

If your extension requires access to the terminal, file system, or project creation, you must:

• Declare all required permissions accurately in your extension manifest.
• Only request permissions that are necessary for your extension's stated functionality.
• Never attempt to bypass the permission system or access resources without proper authorization.

4. User Data and Privacy

If your extension collects, processes, or transmits any user data (including through network requests to external servers):

• You must clearly disclose what data is collected and how it is used in your extension's description.
• You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations).
• You must not sell, share, or misuse user data for purposes unrelated to your extension's functionality.
• You must handle all user data securely and delete it when no longer needed.

5. Intellectual Property

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to publish your extension and all its contents.
• Your extension does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Any open-source components used in your extension comply with their respective licenses.

By publishing an extension, you grant SrcNexus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, distribute, and display your extension through the SrcNexus Extension Store.

6. Review and Removal

SrcNexus reserves the right to:

• Review, approve, or reject any extension submitted to the Extension Store.
• Remove or suspend any extension that violates these Terms or is reported by users, at any time without prior notice.
• Suspend or terminate the developer account of any developer who repeatedly violates these Terms.

7. Liability and Disclaimer

Extensions are provided "as is". SrcNexus does not guarantee the functionality, security, or reliability of any third-party extension.

As a developer, you agree to indemnify and hold SrcNexus harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your extension, including but not limited to data breaches, intellectual property disputes, or harm caused to users.

8. Updates and Versioning

When you publish an update to your extension, the same Terms apply. If an update introduces new permissions, users will be informed before the update is applied. You must not use updates to introduce functionality that violates these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued publishing of extensions after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
